Lumière: The Art of Light Lights Up Trillium Park Until April 4, 2026

Trillium Park at Ontario Place is glowing again. Lumière: The Art of Light—a free outdoor exhibition of 14 light-based installations—runs from March 10 to April 4, 2026, and it’s one of the best ways to spend an evening by the waterfront without spending a dime.

What You’ll See

This year’s theme is “Neon Dreams: Light and Colour.” Fourteen Ontario artists have turned the park into a walkable gallery of light: neon pieces, interactive displays, and installations that respond to motion and sound. You’ll find work from HINFOS (Light Pillars), Bitbrainz (Deep Reverie), Tyler Burey (Crystal Waters), Tonya Hart (GOLDEN EYE), and others. Each piece is different—some pulse, some shift with movement, some feel like stepping into a dream. It’s free, all ages, and runs every night.

When to Go

The exhibition is open 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM nightly through April 4, 2026. No reservations needed—just show up.

Bonfire nights: On Fridays and Saturdays, the Trillium Park fire pit is lit from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. During March Break (March 10–14, 2026), bonfires run every night, weather permitting. Grab a spot by the fire if the lake breeze gets chilly.

Getting There

Trillium Park sits at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard West. By TTC, take the 29 Dufferin, 63 Ossington, 509 Harbourfront, or 511 Bathurst—all drop you within a 10–15 minute walk. The 504C King streetcar also serves the area. Coming from the east? GO Transit’s Lakeshore line stops at Exhibition; it’s about an 8-minute walk south to the park.

If you’re walking or biking, the Martin Goodman Trail runs right past. You can cut through Coronation Park or Inukshuk Park. Bike parking is available at the Trillium Park entrance.

Bottom Line

Lumière runs through Sunday, April 4, 2026. Dress warm—it’s March by the lake—and give yourself an hour or two to wander. The park stays open late, the installations are free, and the bonfires on weekends make it feel like a proper night out. Same setup every year; the artists and theme change. Worth the trip.
